Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income

Gambling with us should be a way to spend an hour, not a way to make money or to solve a money problem. Every game we offer is built around chance, the house holds a mathematical edge on all of them over time, and no system, pattern or staking plan changes that. If you play expecting to come out ahead, you are using our site for something it cannot do.

We ask you to decide, before you deposit, how much money and how much time you are willing to spend, and then to treat that amount as the price of the entertainment rather than a stake you expect back. Money needed for rent, bills, food, childcare or debt repayments should never be used to gamble, and borrowing to play, or depositing again to win back what has gone, is the point at which most harm begins.

Our site is for adults aged 18 or over only. We hold a gaming licence for the market we serve, and we confirm the identity, age and address of every account holder as part of our standard account checks. Where an account turns out to belong to someone under 18, we close it, withhold any winnings and return deposits in line with the rules set out in our terms.

If it has stopped being fun, stop

A time-out can be switched on from your account in under a minute and takes effect straight away. You do not need to speak to anyone first, and you do not need to give us a reason.

The safer gambling tools in your account

Every tool below is free, available to all registered players, and found in the safer gambling area of your account. You can use them together: a deposit limit and a session limit, for example, control two different things. We never treat the use of a limit as a reason to restrict your account or withdraw an offer.

Deposit limits

A deposit limit caps the amount you can pay into your account over a set period. The periods available, and the amounts you can choose, are shown in your account. A lower limit applies immediately once you confirm it. A request to raise or remove a limit is held for a cooling-off period and then needs a second confirmation from you, so that the decision is never made in the heat of a session.

Loss and session limits

A loss limit caps how much you can be down over the period you pick, counting stakes against returns, and stops play once the figure is reached. A session limit caps how long you can stay logged in. When a session limit runs out we warn you on screen and then sign you out, so the decision to stop is taken for you.

Reality checks

A reality check is an on-screen reminder that appears at the interval you choose. It tells you how long you have been playing and where you stand for the session, and asks whether you want to carry on or close the game. It is the simplest way to stop a short visit turning into a long one without you noticing.

Time-outs and self-exclusion

A time-out is a short, fixed break. During it you cannot deposit or play, marketing stops, and your account reopens on its own when the period ends. Self-exclusion is the longer and firmer option: the minimum periods are set out in your account, it cannot be lifted early, we remove you from marketing, and we take reasonable steps to stop you opening a new account while it runs. If you want to be excluded from all gambling sites licensed in Great Britain rather than ours alone, use GamStop as well.

How to switch a tool on

  1. Sign in and open your account menu.
  2. Go to the safer gambling section, where the tools are listed together.
  3. Choose the tool you want and the amount or period from the options shown.
  4. Confirm your choice. Limits that reduce your exposure, time-outs and self-exclusions take effect straight away.
  5. If you cannot reach your account, e-mail support@casinojammyjack.co.uk or use the live chat on the site and we will apply the setting for you.

Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem

Problem gambling develops gradually, and it is easier to see in a checklist than in the moment. Read the following and be honest about how many apply to you.

  • You spend more than you planned, or more than you can comfortably lose.
  • You deposit again straight after a loss to try to get the money back.
  • You gamble with money meant for bills, rent, food or repayments.
  • You borrow money, sell belongings or use a credit facility to keep playing.
  • You hide how much you play, or how much you have lost, from people close to you.
  • You play longer than intended, or lose track of how long a session has lasted.
  • You gamble to escape stress, boredom, loneliness or low mood.
  • Work, study, sleep, family time or friendships are suffering.
  • You feel anxious, irritable or guilty when you are not playing, or when you try to cut back.

If several of these sound familiar, set a time-out or a self-exclusion now and then speak to one of the organisations below. They are used to this conversation, and nothing you tell them reaches us.

Where to get help

The following services are free, confidential and not connected to us. You do not need a diagnosis, a referral or a minimum level of harm to contact any of them, and friends and family can use them too.

  • GambleAware provides information, self-assessment tools and signposting to treatment across Great Britain, for people who gamble and for those affected by someone else's gambling.
  • GamCare offers free counselling, structured treatment and support groups, delivered in person and remotely through its network of partners.
  • GamStop is the national online self-exclusion scheme: one registration blocks your access to every gambling site licensed in Great Britain for the period you choose.
  • The National Gambling Helpline is staffed around the clock by trained advisers who can talk through your situation in confidence and arrange further support.

Our support team can point you towards these services and apply any limit or exclusion you ask for, but we are not counsellors and we cannot give clinical or financial advice. Blocking gambling payments through your bank or card provider is another step worth asking about.

Protecting minors

Underage gambling is against the law and against our terms. Registration is restricted to adults aged 18 or over, and we carry out age and identity checks on accounts as part of our standard verification. Where a check cannot be completed, we suspend play until it is. We may ask for documents at any point, including before a withdrawal.

If you share a computer, tablet or phone with children, please take a few simple precautions: never save your password or payment details in the browser, always sign out when you finish, keep cards and banking apps out of reach, and do not let anyone else use your account. Filtering and parental control software is widely available for devices and home networks, and most providers also offer family-level filters that block gambling content. Device settings can restrict app installation and in-app payments as well.

If you believe someone under 18 has used your account, e-mail support@casinojammyjack.co.uk or open the live chat on the site. We will look into it, and we may suspend the account while checks are carried out.
